Find your local Humane Society or private animal shelter in Illinois.
This page is devoted to helping you find your local Illinois Humane Society shelter. Most of these websites give you pictures and descriptions of their dogs and cats, so you can see if they have the dog or cat you’re looking for. However, most websites are not kept up-to-date, so there may be more dogs available for adoption than you see in the pictures. And the picture you fall in love with may already be adopted by someone else. Please call ahead if you want to avoid disappointment.

At the time we are trying to build a shelter. I foster as many animals as I can, but too many are being put to sleep. We need help with fosters or places to send our dogs and cats. They are great pets and need wonderful homes. I am the only one who will foster a litter of puppies and kittens. I am full at my home. But there are a lot of wonderful older dogs being held at the pound in our county at this time with no shelter of our own. We are working out of the pound. I would love to have a way to help get more pets out of the pound. Rushville ,IL. Phone 217-322-6692
